Miffy EDLUND

Miffy has been working for almost 25 years in the field of Sports and Orthopaedics, in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, England and the UAE.  In the UAE alone, she has worked for 15 years. Her special interests have always been around the mechanics of the body, and her physio philosophy is 'Improve the way the body moves, and you improve the condition'. Her favourite areas are lower limb injuries, especially knee injuries, particularly if they are related to her personally preferred sports - running, skiing, tennis and CrossFit.  She has extensive knowledge and experience with tendon pathology, particularly long standing, failed tendons, as well as post-surgical rehab for knees and ankles. Miffy's main treatment utilises education, manual therapy and exercise - for strength, mobility, balance, power, coordination, movement patterns, taping and some dry needling. Her assessment is biomechanical in nature, looking for the cause of things going wrong, then helping you to correct it. Outside getting you better, Miffy keeps active with tennis, running and CrossFit, looking after her dog and the clinic Kitten. She travels whenever there is an opportunity, and sometimes when there isn't, and skis every winter. Darren KENNEDY



Physiotherapist Specialist in Musculoskeletal and Athletic Therapy

Darren is a Chartered and dedicated MSK physiotherapist from Ireland with an experience that spans diverse settings. With an undergraduate degree in Athletic Therapy and Training in Dublin City University, and a Masters degree in Physiotherapy from Brunel University London, Darren has a vast knowledge of musculoskeletal conditions that affect everyone from the general population to elite athletes.


He is focused on comprehensive patient assessments and tailored recovery plans that will be specific to the person in front of him, and is committed to delivering outstanding patient care with a primary focus on enhancing overall well-being. He has completed a Diploma in Mental Health resulting in a dissertation presented at Stanmore Hospital, UK for his masters. With a history treating (but not limited to) Gaelic football & Hurling, American Football, ultra distance runners and triathletes, Darren understands the level of care needed in order to return to a high level of competition. Darren has also recently added the FIFA Sports Medicine Diploma to his list of educational achievements.


Darren has a keen interest in lower limb and lower back issues, but is keen to help everyone wherever their ailment may be. Trained in Dry needling, IASTM, Trigger point release and manual therapy, Darren will try and combine a mix of hands on treatment with progressive strengthening plans to get you back to previous levels and hopefully better than before! When not in clinic,


Darren loves to stay active by going for hikes, running, playing golf and padel. Darren loves to travel, and has only recently moved to Dubai from 5 years in London!

Ana found Pilates 25 years ago, after being put on a strict exercise regime to combat the effects of spinal scoliosis, which had developed as a child and was exacerbated by daily tennis, an assymetrical sport! But it was an introduction to a full Pilates mat routine and classical Pilates equipment where she experienced the benefits of Pilates and fell in love with the method. Moving to Dubai 12 years ago she continued her Pilates career by joining Romanas Pilates Studio and continuing her education between Dubai, Cape Town and Aix en Provence.


Her curiosity led to progressing her learning to include contemporary Pilates methods nearly ten years ago, and then furthering her journey by adding more disciplines and methods to her repertoire, including Stick Mobility, Yamuna and Garuda – Loving it all along the way. Ana is now certified as a contemporary teacher by Pilates on Fifth New York, Pilates Academy Dubai and, most recently, became a Fully Qualified Balanced Body Comprehensive Pilates Instructor. She is certified in matwork and all equipment. Specialty - Her great passion is helping clients with their rehab and post-natal recovery.

She is ardent and steadfast, with an extensive background in customer service, real estate, and insurance that makes her an invaluable addition to the team. Through her journey, she has had the opportunity to travel, study, and interact with many different people, and these experiences have shaped her expertise, and also fuelled her enthusiasm for success. 


Janice will consistently ensure a smooth process when you’re here in the clinic, and will continue to contribute to the success of The Physio Centre.

With over 17 years of experience in the Customer Service Industry, JaJa has expertise in various fields, including wellness, retail and food & beverage. Throughout her career, JaJa takes responsibility, works hard and takes charge of organising, making her a super asset to the clinic. JaJa fits into The Physio Centre well with her family-oriented nature, and approaching life with a commitment to balance and integrity.


JaJa loves badminton, as well as feeding her creative side by crafting beverages and preparing food with precision and care. An avid traveler, she embraces the opportunity to explore new destinations and enjoy the great outdoors, always seeking new adventures to broaden her horizons.
